Crop circles are specific parts of a field in which the standing crops are bent in order to form a certain pattern. These mysterious artworks have been around for decades, puzzling the human population on how they are created randomly in the middle of the night. Often times, landowners wake up in the morning and look out of their windows surprised to see that their field full of crops is now imprinted upon with some sort of a design. Confused as to how this creation came about, many possible solutions come to one’s mind on how this may have occurred. Could it be aliens from another planet or prints left behind by UFOs? Or could they have occurred due to the weather and wind movements? Are they manmade?

Of course, the first assumption that comes to most minds when an unexplainable happening occurs is that creatures from other planets are responsible. Though this is a plausible argument, there is one important question that comes up in regard to this argument and that is: Why would aliens travel to our planet just to leave behind a picture in a random field? Also, UFOs are assumed to be large in size and the argument that these figures are left behind by these large vessels can be countered by the fact that someone, most likely the owner of the land would have seen or heard something dealing with a UFO coming and going from their land. People who believe in more realistic explanations as to how crop circles are formed may choose to believe that Mother Nature may have some kind of a hand in the coming of these formations.

Another likely assumption for the cause of crop circles is that they occurred due to strange weather patterns. This argument may have been logical in the early years of the occurrences of crop circles when they were just simple circles. These basic circles were explained as being created my tornadoes spinning around in a circle, resulting in the crop circle. Though, this argument began falling apart as the designs of crop circles became more complex – moving from simple circles to spirals and triangles and flowers inside of circles. The complexities of crop circles made scientists who believed in this assumption come up with crazier theories such as plasma vortexes, for example. Critics of this assumption simply question how the weather can form such perfect designs in crop fields. Those who don’t believe that the weather could be the cause for crop circles may side more with the modern day thinking that crop circles are some type of a prank that will stir up controversy among humans.

The last and most realist assumption regarding the creation of crop circles is that they are manmade. The people who believe that crop circles are a hoax and are created by other people have many explanations as to how humans could make these circles. Crop circles have been made by humans before in order to prove that they can do it. They can be made using rope and boards to flatten the crops and make the designs. People, in general, are very capable of using calculations and technology in order to plan their designs and make them happen. In today’s world, there would be no surprise if there was a piece of technology that told humans exactly which plant to flatten in order to form their desired design.

In conclusion, though some of the more recent crop circles can be explained, the crop circle occurrences of the more historical past are harder to explain. Crop circles have definitely been a source of controversy in the world, especially when it comes to discussing how they seem to come about. There are believers of all sorts of different assumptions for the formation of these incredible designs. Regardless of how they came to be, they are always going to be a topic of discussion and a reason for wonder to dwell in the minds of humans. In essence, it could very likely be possible that crop circles are a product of all of three of these assumptions, but they just occurred at different times throughout the lifespan of crop circles.

As for the preservation of this information over time, I plan on checking it regularly and updating it with new information as I come across it regarding crop circles. Keeping my information accurate and updated will allow for more traffic flow on my site and that will help with keeping my site alive.
